PODGORICA – On 27th – 29th May 2019, second part of the expert mission aimed at supporting the sub-group of the Working Group for the ICT Strategy in Judiciary was organized and implemented by EUROL 2, in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice as part of the implementation of the Information and Communication Strategy (ICT) in Judiciary 2016 – 2020.
Engaged expert, Mr. Esmin Berhamovic, continued to work closely with members of the sub-group on first draft of the Rule on Use and Management of the Judicial Information System (JIS), having in mind that this rulebook will represent legal basis for introduction and day-to-day usage of the IT system and electronic services in judiciary. During this visit, expert, jointly with the members of the sub-group discussed all open issues regarding the structure of the document, necessity for drafting some additional documents in order to cover all IT processes in the sub-systems of courts, state prosecution, Ministry of Justice and prison. Within this mission, expert and members of the sub-group visited Prosecutorial Council to discuss the procedure of using the IT system in the State prosecution, and possibilities for its integration with the new JIS and what should be defined by future legislative framework in that direction.
Above mentioned activity is a continuation of expert support provided by Mr. Berhamovic to the ICT working group in defining the final draft of the document (s) to be sent to relevant authorities for final adoption.
