PODGORICA, 11 October 2018 – The third Steering Committee meeting of the EU Support to the Rule of Law II project was held on 10 October 2018 at the EU Delegation to Montenegro.
The third Project Steering Committee (PSC) meeting involved the presence of representatives and beneficiaries of the Montenegrin government as well as the European Union Delegation staff, the partner of the Project, representative of the Austrian Ministry of Interior from Criminal Intelligence Service Mr. Gerhard Lang and the representatives of relevant international rule of law projects currently being implemented in Montenegro.
The two main beneficiaries, notably the representative of the Ministry of Justice Ms. Marijana Lakovic Draskovic and the one from Ministry of Interior – Ms. Tanja Ostojic, expressed their gratitude to the EURoL II team for the support provided through different expert missions, professional visits, seminars, and other project activities.
The main project activities covering both components – police and justice – during the last reporting period were presented to the PSC members. EU Delegation Task Manager and supervisor of the Project, Mrs. Marzia Palotta, expressed her full support to the Project activities.
The Team Leader Antonio Molinaro (Police component) and the Deputy Team Leader Maria Grazia Benedetti (Justice component) focused their presentation on important documents such as the Interim Report covering the period from March 2018 to August 2018 and the new Work Plan covering the period from September 2018 to September 2019 with activities foreseen for implementation in the next twelve months.
All participants recognised good efforts and participative approach in the development of the new Workplan which was assessed as a very good one, taking into consideration all requests and needs of beneficiaries.
